Without guidance, meditation can be frustrating and even potentially harmful. It's important to have someone experienced in a variety of meditation practices there to guide you and help out when you run into the inevitable physical, mental, and emotional challenges that pop up along the way. I am experienced and knowledgable about different meditation traditions, mostly coming from Buddhist (samatha, vipassana, Zen) and Daoist (zuowang, neidan, visualization) traditions, and can help find the most appropriate style of meditation for you. I have had a consistent Zen meditation practice for 14 years, as well as experience living Buddhist monasteries.
